How did you become interested in healthy living?
When I started modelling, I didn’t know anything about nutrition – but luckily I discovered a book about raw food, and it changed everything for me! It made sense that eating fresh vegetables, fruit and un-processed produce is the only way to live. Raw food, green juices and smoothies keep me healthy, strong and happy with bright eyes and clear skin.
What are the most important things to eat?
Fresh fruit and vegetables should be at least 70-80 per cent of your diet. I have fresh vegetable juices, a lot of leafy greens and organic local produce from a farmers’ market every day. Superfoods like spirulina, chlorella, blue-green algae E3Live, wheatgrass, raw cacao, and raw un-processed honey should also be incorporated into your diet. A lot of people are scared of ‘fats’ but your body needs good fats. Be wise and choose healthy fats such as avocados, nuts, seeds, olive oil, flax seed oil, and hemp oil etc.

How do you stay dedicated to your routine when you travel?
I bring a lot of fruit with me. I also drink a lot of water and take chlorella powder with me so I can add it to my water. I don’t drink coffee because it is very dehydrating, and I also bring chia seeds with me to help with digestion and hydration.
What is your daily morning routine?
I like to wake up at around 8am. I do meditation before brushing my teeth or drinking water. Then I have a big glass of warm water with lemon. After that, I make vegetable juice and have a shot of E3Live (blue-green algae). Then I’m ready for breakfast, which is usually a green smoothie.
What exercise do you most enjoy and feel is the best for the body and soul?
I love yoga. I do it every day. It’s a great workout for the body and especially for the soul!
What small things can people do to make their lives healthier?
I think the first step is to stop drinking soda, caffeinated drinks and commercial, pasteurised juices. Simply replace all of those drinks with fresh water.
“Everything has energy, including FOOD!”
How do you think what we eat affects how we look and how we feel?
Everything has energy, including FOOD! If you eat fresh vegetables, fruits, leafy greens, drink a lot of juices and pure water, you take this energy directly from nature and feed your body and soul. In return, you feel alive, vibrant, bright-eyed, clear-minded, calm and full of life! Now think about junk food, – fast food, commercial meat, boxed, microwaved, preserved ‘food’. It is simply ‘dead’ with no energy and no life.
